Carved stone from Nimrud: Assyria carries away the 10 tribes of the Northern Kingdom – Israel

Carved stone relief from the central palace of Nimrud, showing the Assyrian conquest of the city of Astartu (probably the biblical Ashtaroth) in the eighth century BCE. Israelite inhabitants of the city are driven out by soldiers of Tiglath-Pileser III. The relief is currently housed at the British Museum.
