The Production Pause:
My long hiatus from posting is due to major life changes in the past few months: I have new studio hardware, a new residence and a new audio technician! In late 2014, we sold our family home and moved to a cottage on the Bay of Green Bay, where we are awaiting the building of our new home.
Broadway!
After purging, packing and moving items accrued while living in one house for 23 years, we spent a week in NYC and saw 4 Broadway shows: Motown the Musical; On the Town; If/Then and Beautiful. What a week! Take a peek at these shows:
http://www.motownthemusical.com – Closed on Broadway, now touring
http://www.onthetownbroadway.com – At The Lyric on Broadway
http://www.ifthenthemusical.com/home.php – At the Richard Rodgers Theatre, but closes 3/22/15
http://beautifulonbroadway.com – At Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway
We got home from NYC just 15 minutes ahead of the arrival of our college-student children and their spouses, who were all home for Christmas break! We had 2 great weeks of family together time prior to their return to college.
During the Christmas break, we were able to record vocals for the song “Sister”, which is sung by Ruth to her mother-in-law, Naomi in the show. In a cosmic alignment of the planets, the vocalists for this song are MY daughter-in-law, Angelina Sieber (middle row, far right), singing Ruth and me as Naomi! This song is currently in post-production and we anticipate a release within the month.
A New Technician
Key to our return to production is our new audio technician, João Paulo Nascimento, a Brazilian student who is studying at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) during the 2014-2015 school year. João was selected to receive a scholarship through the U.S. Department of State Community College Initiative, and is completing his internship at our office, mixing new songs from Old Testament Records for release.

João Paulo Nascimento, audio technician, is recording and mixing the remaining releases for the musical Old Testament Records.
I’ve also been working with local studios and performance entities to get João additional experience in other venues in our area. Thanks to my contacts at The Bridge, The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, UW-Green Bay and the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts for their help in connecting João with excellent performers and technicians in our area.
Upcoming Releases:
The next songs slated for release from Old Testament Records are:
“Because He Loves Us” – Eve
“I’ll Deliver You” – Jochebed (Moses’ mom)
“Sister” – Ruth and Naomi
Vocal Talent Auditions:
I am in the process of auditioning vocalists to sing the SATB choral parts for 6 songs from the show. Wish me luck! If you’re in the Green Bay area and would like to be considered, send an audio sample of your work to me a wanda@wandasieber.com – I’d love to hear you!
